PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Will Launch Without A Disc Drive

Sony’s plan to market a PlayStation 5 without a disc drive is all hard drive, the design for the disc drive version and the Digital Edition is essentially the same. With this move, millions of gamers will download their games onto their hard drives, a move that begins to loom as the imminent death of the boxed copies, a back-bone industry to the gaming world that is also changing with the new post-covid-19 normality.
