Popular Kpop Sensation group, the seven boy group, BTS has officially become the first all-South Korean act to rule the top US singles chart. Billboards, the industry tracker recently announced with Dynamite hitting number one today. This is not the first time when a song by BTS is trending, however, the release of Dynamite made fans rampaging on the internet.
Dynamite by BTS is the 1109th number 1 in the Hot 100’s 62-year history. Previously, BTS broke the record for top-24 hour music debut on YouTube, crossing 101.1 million views within 24 hours of the release time. BTS surpassed Blackpink’s previous record. It wasn’t confirmed right after, however, Youtube did confirm it approximately 2 days later.
That aside, BTS got into the Top 100 US charts on the same day as Jungkook’s birthday, it is an occasion worth celebrating. Artists all around the world are wishing him well. Starting from The Weeknd, and followed by the Jonas Brothers and others too.

As of now, three of BTS’ albums have been on Billboard’s album charts. However, this is the first time BTS made it into the first Hot 100 top single. BTS includes J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, and V.
The song isn’t just trending in terms of sales and watch time. There’s a new hashtag trending every hour for BTS Dynamite. Things really got crazy recently when BTS Dynamite was competing with Blackpink’s song, BTS stans and Blackpink stans did make a few hashtags trending over this topic.
Originally, Blackpink held the record for the top 24-hour music debut for the song they released back in their June 2020 single “How You Like That”.
