Although no complaint has been filed regarding this incident, SSP Gautam Grover, who was present at Mathura, confirmed it. Reportedly, the four men have been identified as Raghav Mittal, Krishna Thakur, Saurabh Lumberdar, and Kanha. The four men claim that they intended to spread the idea of social harmony just the way Muslim men proposed to do at the Nand Baba temple, Barsana. Surprisingly, one of the young men claims to be an active member of BJP. Belonging to the age groups 18-25, the four men entered the Idgah, which is situated at Barsana Road. The four have been presented at the sub-divisional court, where the magistrate ordered their release on the submission of Rs. 2 lakh each.
Namaz at Nand Baba Temple:-
The series of communal events started when the police arrested a group of four Muslim men who were seen offering namaz at the temple. While many priests and other Hindu people witnessed the scenario, they seem deeply offended. Thus, a video clip was also shared on social media platforms. According to the gathered information, Alok Kumar and Nilesh Kumar from Delhi reached Mathura, where their two Muslim friends Faisal Khan and Mohammed Chand accompanied them. According to the sources, the four men reached Braj on a bicycle from Delhi.
The temple priest, Kanha Goswami, stated that he was shocked at first and got impressed as the Muslim boys recited a few lines from Ramcharitmanas. Gradually, when it was time to offer namaz, the priest allowed them to execute their prayers in a secluded area. However, other priests of the temple got offended and filed an FIR.
Some priests released a statement that they ‘intentionally choose’ this temple to disrupt the communal harmony. As a result, the disgusted pundits purified the temple with Ganga Jal and performed the religious ceremony, Hawan, to purify the impure air.
In response, SP Gaurav Gautam alleged to find reasons and consider different angles as the FIR has been filed against the two Muslim men. However, the photos have been shared on their Facebook handle and, thus, gone viral.
Claims Communal Harmony was the Motive:-
Accused Faisal Khan said he intended to spread communal harmony as India is a diverse country, and brotherhood shall establish. He told the media he would light diyas and celebrate Diwali with utmost excitement. While justifying his actions, he stated that if earlier he knew this would happen, he would have ignored it from the first time.
