Netflix has rolled out a new feature for iOS users, enabling them to download an entire season of their favorite TV show with a single tap. This feature, which was previously available to Android users, aims to streamline the downloading process. The “Season Download” button can be found on a show’s display page, next to the Share button, and allows users to select an entire season for download. Once downloaded, the full season appears in the Downloads section under the “My Netflix” tab.
The new feature significantly improves the user experience, especially for those with limited or no internet access. Previously, users could only download one episode at a time, which made the process slow and tedious. With this update, viewers can quickly prepare for trips or other situations where internet access may be restricted, by downloading entire seasons of shows at once.
This update is particularly useful for travelers and people frequently in areas with poor internet connectivity. By offering the ability to download multiple episodes at once, Netflix ensures users can enjoy longer TV series, such as “Blacklist,” which has around 22 episodes per season. This enhancement makes offline viewing more convenient, saving users time and effort compared to downloading individual episodes.
The announcement of this feature comes shortly after Netflix’s impressive fourth-quarter earnings report, which showed the company added a record-breaking 19 million subscribers. This new feature is part of Netflix’s broader strategy to improve its user experience and attract more customers, particularly those who depend on offline viewing for their entertainment.
