Activision has announced that the multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to commence on August 30th. This marks a departure from the previous exclusivity arrangement under Activision Blizzard, where PlayStation players typically had early access to Call of Duty betas.

With Microsoft now owning Activision Blizzard, the upcoming beta will be available on both PC and consoles, ensuring a broader player base can participate from the outset.

The Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta promises to showcase several new features, including the Omnimovement system and other gameplay innovations across a range of new maps.

Players will have the opportunity to customize their loadouts with various weapons, equipment, and Perks, and engage across multiple game modes. Preorders for Black Ops 6 are currently open through various channels, including participating retailers, in-game stores, platform stores, and CallofDuty.com.

During the first weekend of the beta, which runs from August 30th to September 4th, players who have preordered the game on PC and consoles will gain early access starting at 10 a.m. Pacific time.

The beta will then open to all players, including Game Pass subscribers, on September 6th for its second weekend, concluding on September 9th. This phased approach allows Activision to stress-test the game’s multiplayer capabilities while giving fans extensive hands-on experience ahead of the game’s full release.

The announcement underscores Activision’s commitment to delivering an inclusive multiplayer experience across platforms and ensuring that all players, regardless of preorder status or platform preference, can participate in shaping the Black Ops 6 gameplay experience.
