Compact Champion of Outdoor Movie Nights: Formovie Xming Episode One

Formovie has made the Xming Episode One

Formovie, the Chinese projector maker that garnered attention with its impressive Formovie Theater UST projector, has now announced the preorder availability of its new compact 1080p projector, the Xming Episode One. This tiny powerhouse, priced at an affordable $299, promises to deliver an immersive movie experience, perfect for backyard movie nights. With its lightweight and diminutive design, weighing just 2.8 pounds and measuring 6.9 by 4.8 by 5.6 inches, it is easy to move around and set up.

Although compact, the Xming Episode One packs a punch with its LED light source that provides 150 CVIA lumens of brightness, equivalent to 122 ANSI lumens. This level of brightness allows for a clear image on screens up to 120 inches in size, with a throw ratio of 1.2:1. The projector can be placed anywhere from 40 to 120 inches from the screen, making it suitable for small to medium-sized rooms.

Setting up the projector is a breeze thanks to its auto keystone correction and autofocus features. The projector runs on the Google TV operating system, which provides seamless access to a wide range of streaming services and apps available on the Google Play Store. With Netflix preinstalled, users can easily cast content from their smartphones or compatible devices using Chromecast.

In terms of audio, the Xming Episode One is equipped with two 3-watt internal speakers and supports Dolby Atmos when outputted to a compatible system. The projector features one HDMI 2.1 input, a USB-A input, and a 3.5 mm analog jack for headphone or a speaker. Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi support for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

While the projector itself does not have an internal battery, it does come with an included AC adapter, making it easy to connect and power up. This is not a concern for backyard movie enthusiasts, as an extension cord is all that is needed for a convenient setup.

Formovie has made the Xming Episode One available for preorder at an attractive price of $299, and for a limited time, customers can use the code EPPRE to get it at a discounted rate of $229 on the Formovie website. With its compact design, vivid image, and user-friendly interface, the Xming Episode One is poised to be a top contender in the portable projector market.
