The Tribit StormBox 2 Delivers Powerful Sound in a Compact Package

The wait is finally over for music lovers, as Tribit, a California-based company known for its rugged and compact Bluetooth speakers, has announced the launch of its new StormBox 2 compact portable speaker. The latest addition to the StormBox family boasts improved Bluetooth capabilities, a new app for controls and customization, and increased power output, making it a game-changer in portable speakers.

At first glance, the StormBox 2 may appear to be similar to its predecessor, with its compact cylindrical design measuring 7 inches in length, 2.7 inches in width, and 2.7 inches in height, and weighing just over a pound. The speaker still features two passive bass radiators on each end, and the front remains unchanged with the “+ O —” buttons and Tribit logo. However, the back buttons have been updated to include a TWS button, allowing users to create a multi-speaker setup with other StormBox 2 speakers and compatible models for a bigger sound.

On the inside, the StormBox 2 has undergone some significant upgrades. The speaker’s two drivers have been increased in size to 1.8 inches (48 mm) and now boast 34 total watts of power output, resulting in a more impressive 260-degree sound. This increased power should also benefit the speaker’s XBass bass boost feature, which is known for its decent performance.

One of the most notable features of the StormBox 2 is its Bluetooth 5.3 technology, which provides a range of up to 98 feet (30 meters). This allows users to move freely without worrying about dropped connections. Additionally, the speaker is equipped with a new Tribit app that enables users to fully customize the sound to suit their individual preferences and listening environments. The app features a range of presets, including Audiobook, Classic, Jazz, Rock, and XBass, as well as a nine-band EQ, giving users unparalleled control over their listening experience.

Another significant improvement is the speaker’s battery life, which has been extended from 20 to 24 hours. This means that users can enjoy their music for longer periods without needing to recharge. The StormBox 2 can be fully charged in just four hours, making it a great option for those who are always on-the-go. The speaker also retains its excellent IPX7 waterproof rating, allowing it to withstand submersion in up to a meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

The StormBox 2 is available in a single black color variant and can be purchased now for $70 on the Tribit website or on Amazon. The StormBox 2 is an impressive upgrade to the original StormBox, offering a powerful and customizable listening experience in a compact and portable package.
