In a move to refresh its product offerings, Nissan is launching an aggressive campaign with 15 new vehicles planned for the 2024-2026 fiscal year.

The rollout has already begun with the Kicks compact crossover and the Infiniti QX80, with more to come including the 2025 Murano and full-size SUVs.

This focus on new models comes with a caveat for some existing nameplates. Despite rumors and creative online renderings, there won’t be a ninth-generation gasoline-powered Maxima.

However, a future Maxima with an electric drivetrain similar to the Ariya and Leaf is a possibility. Unfortunately, enthusiasts won’t see a next-generation GT-R either.

The automaker has announced special editions marking the end of the iconic R35 in the US market, including the T-spec Takumi Edition and the Skyline Edition the latter finally bringing a legendary name back before its farewell.

In the ever-changing world of car design, virtual artists serve as the creative catalysts, wielding their digital tools to breathe life into imaginative car concepts.

One such artist, Jim, known online as jlord8, has set his sights on a longstanding desire among Nissan enthusiasts: a four-door version of the revered R35 GT-R.

But jlord8’s project is just one example of a growing trend other CGI artists have also taken to their virtual garages to reimagine the iconic GT-R as a more practical four-door family sedan.

Each designer brings their own unique vision to the table, resulting in a range of intriguing possibilities for the future of the Nissan GT-R.
