Among the new products is the Philips Home Access 5000 Series Palm Recognition Smart Lock, which boasts a unique palm scanner feature that allows users to unlock their door using their palm vein pattern. This innovative technology makes it virtually impossible to hack, providing an ultra-secure way to lock and unlock the door.

The palm scanner works by tracking unique palm vein patterns, which are then matched against a database to authenticate the user. This process is reportedly fast and accurate, making it an efficient and reliable way to secure the home. The button is designed to glow when visitors are nearby, making it easy for them to alert the homeowner. When the button is pressed, it sends an alert to the included doorbell chime, which can be plugged into a standard electrical outlet and features five volume levels and 38 unique melodies.

The 5000 Series Palm Recognition Smart Lock is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, making it easy to control and monitor remotely using the Philips mobile app. It is also compatible with a range of smart home devices, allowing users to integrate it with their existing smart home setup.

Meanwhile, the 7000 Series Video Doorbell offers advanced video capabilities, including 2K footage, HDR, and low-angle and ultrawide viewing angles to eliminate blind spots. This product is designed to provide a high level of security and visibility for homeowners, making it an attractive option for those who want to keep a closer eye on their home.

Philips’ new smart lock and video doorbell products are now available for purchase, with prices ranging from $220 for the retrofit lock to $360 for the palm recognition smart lock. While these products are competing in crowded markets, their unique features and striking designs make them attractive alternatives to existing options from companies like Yale, Arlo, and Ring.
