Resolution Games, known for its virtual and mixed reality hits such as Demeo, has announced that their new mixed reality game, Spatial Ops, is now available for pre-order. Set to launch later this year, the game can be pre-ordered at a 25% discount, lowering the price from $20 to $15 on the Meta Horizon Store. Spatial Ops offers an innovative experience, blending virtual gameplay with the real world.
Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games, emphasized the game’s focus on creating a seamless interaction between the digital and physical worlds. In Spatial Ops, players will encounter enemies that hide behind real objects in their space, with bullets and grenades interacting with real-world surfaces.
Palm described the experience as mind-blowing, with no clear distinction between reality and the game, making it a unique addition to the mixed-reality gaming landscape.
The game features a multiplayer Arena Mode where players can engage in laser-tag-like battles, mapping out their physical environments for the game. Arena Mode allows for co-located play with up to eight players in modes such as Free for All, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Domination. This competitive element brings an exciting and immersive MR experience to groups of friends, creating dynamic, real-world arenas.
Spatial Ops also includes a single-player campaign, offering a two-hour story-driven experience inspired by 1980s action and sci-fi movies. Players assume the role of an agent and navigate through seven handcrafted levels while fighting enemies and upgrading their weapons. The story is fully narrated, and players can enjoy the intense action as portals to other dimensions appear around them, adding depth to the gameplay.
As the launch date approaches, Meta Quest users are encouraged to pre-order or add Spatial Ops to their wishlists. By pre-ordering, players can benefit from a 25% discount and ensure access to what promises to be a cutting-edge mixed-reality game that pushes the boundaries of immersive technology.
