Krafton Introduces Free Demo for Life Simulation Game inZoi Featuring Advanced Unreal Engine 5 Graphics

Last year, Krafton revealed its upcoming life simulation game, inZoi, with a focus on its advanced Unreal Engine 5 graphics. The showcase highlighted the game’s detailed visual elements and introduced its versatile character editor. This tool allows users to create highly customized avatars, and it will be available for a limited time as part of the game’s exhibit at Gamescom later this month.

Krafton has now provided additional information about inZoi, including its system requirements and a free demo. The demo, accessible from August 21 to August 26 via Steam, offers players a chance to explore the extensive character creation features of the game, which include over 250 customization options for body type, clothing, accessories, and more. This demo aims to showcase the game’s capabilities and attract potential players.

The character editor in inZoi leverages Unreal Engine 5’s power, allowing users to apply AI-generated textures, create various poses, and design unique backdrops. A notable feature is the integration of facial recognition for iPhone users, enabling them to project their facial expressions onto their avatars, referred to as Zois. Players can share and download their creations on Canvas, the game’s dedicated social platform.

InZoi’s system requirements are higher compared to its closest competitor, The Sims 4. The game demands at least 12 GB of RAM, 60 GB of storage, and a graphics card such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.

For optimal performance, Krafton recommends 16 GB of memory and an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT. Additionally, the game will support user mods through the Overwolf platform, which is known for its compatibility with various popular games.

Krafton was first introduced inZoi last fall, positioning it as a rival to EA’s The Sims series. It offers similar features, including customizable avatars and environments. While it remains uncertain whether inZoi will be free-to-play, more information is expected to be revealed at Gamescom. In the meantime, EA’s next Sims title, codenamed Project Rene, has been confirmed but details on its release and features are still limited.
