Additionally, the shipment includes more than 15 Nikkor Z lenses, featuring super-telephoto and macro lenses, which will give astronauts greater flexibility and precision when capturing images.

The transition to mirrorless technology is a significant development, as it allows for smaller, lighter camera bodies and other advantages over DSLRs. Major camera manufacturers, including Nikon, have been moving towards mirrorless technology in recent years, and its deployment on the ISS is a testament to the advancements made in the technology.
