In an unconventional move, a creative couple, Martina and Hansi, from the YouTube channel Nerdforge, have successfully built a custom gaming PC that also serves as a coffee maker. The ambitious project began with the idea of installing a coffee maker inside a PC case, a concept that initially seemed daunting. To make it happen, the couple 3D printed custom parts to modify the coffee maker and grinder to fit inside the PC case, ensuring that the device was both functional and safe.
The coffee maker was connected to an Arduino board, allowing the couple to control it with a single button. They also added visual progress bars and essential sensors to prevent the coffee machine from brewing coffee without a cup in the holder. Imagine the horror of having boiling hot coffee spill inside the PC case, an outcome the couple wisely prevented.
Once the coffee maker was up and running, Martina focused on the aesthetics of the PC, decking it out with stained wood and cozy LED lights to create a cabin-like atmosphere. The finishing touch was the addition of a small plant, giving the PC a unique and cozy appearance.

The PC itself is well-equipped with a solid Intel Core i7-14700K processor and an Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, suitable for a creator PC. The front of the case remained open to accommodate the coffee maker, but thoughtful cooling was necessary to ensure the components remained safe. The PC is air-cooled, with exhaust and intake fans set up to direct the warmth away from the components.
The final result is a truly impressive and visually stunning creation, reminiscent of a high-end gaming PC case like the Fractal Design North. Although it’s hard to predict how well the PC will perform in the long term, it’s clear that this build is one of the most unique and fun PC builds the author has ever seen.
