Upcoming GPUs from AMD and Nvidia revealed on Seasonic Website

Seasonic, a well-known power supply unit (PSU) manufacturer, has inadvertently revealed several upcoming graphics processing units (GPUs) from both AMD’s Radeon RX 7000 series and Nvidia’s RTX 5000 series on its website. According to reports, Seasonic’s Wattage Calculator webpage listed at least four new AMD and five new Nvidia models, although the listings seem to have been removed at the time of writing.

Among the AMD GPUs listed were high-end models of the Radeon RX 7000 series, including the RX 7990 XTX, RX 7950 XTX, and RX 7950 XT. This is the first time these specific models have been spotted online, generating significant excitement about AMD’s next-generation GPUs. Interestingly, AMD has a history of launching high-end refreshes, having previously introduced the “XX50” models as part of the RDNA 2 refresh. This new refresh is expected to come with significant improvements in performance, efficiency, and power ratings, possibly including higher clock speeds, power ratings, and faster memory.

In addition to the AMD GPUs, Seasonic’s website also listed several Nvidia RTX 5000 series GPUs, including the top-tier RTX 5090, all the way to the RTX 5050. Each model has a specific Thermal Design Power (TDP) listed, ranging from 500W for the RTX 5090 to 100W for the RTX 5050. The most significant increase in TDP is expected to be seen with the RTX 5060 GPU, which may address the performance and price gap issues between the RTX 4070 and 4060. This increased TDP also suggests that the new GPUs will require more powerful power supplies.

The early appearance of these unreleased GPUs on Seasonic’s website suggests that both AMD and Nvidia are preparing to launch their next-generation graphics cards. According to reports, Nvidia is expected to release its Blackwell architecture consumer graphics cards in October, starting with the high-end RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models. The enthusiast RTX 5070 is expected to follow in January 2025, with the mainstream RTX 5060 expected to launch in the third or fourth quarter of the same year. On the other hand, AMD is rumored to launch its RDNA 3 refresh in January during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025.

The recent leak on Seasonic’s website has generated significant buzz in the tech community, giving fans a Look into what to expect from the next generation of graphics cards. While the listings have been removed, the information is expected to be accurate, providing a preview of the upcoming GPUs from both AMD and Nvidia.
