Audi has significantly enhanced the 2025 e-tron GT lineup, positioning it as a formidable rival to the Porsche Taycan. Beyond cosmetic updates like redesigned grilles and new wheel options, the e-tron GT series introduces substantial improvements under the hood and in its handling dynamics. These changes span across the S e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT, and the newly introduced RS e-tron GT Performance models.

Visually, the 2025 e-tron GT showcases refreshed grille designs and distinctive wheel options, with the Performance model featuring a striking new color called Bedford Green and a matte carbon roof with unique “carbon camouflage” accents.

Inside, updates are subtle yet significant, including an enhanced digital gauge cluster providing detailed battery information, redesigned seats, and new interior trim options such as birch and carbon camouflage.

Mechanically, each variant benefits from a new rear-mounted motor derived from Audi’s PPE platform. These enhancements have reduced the motor’s weight by approximately 22 pounds while increasing efficiency and power output across the board.

The entry-level S e-tron GT now boasts an impressive 671 horsepower, surpassing the outgoing RS model, while the top-tier RS e-tron GT Performance delivers a staggering 912 horsepower with overboost.

Battery technology has also seen upgrades, with an increased capacity from 83.7 kWh to 97.0 kWh and improved charging capabilities. The new battery supports a peak DC fast-charging rate of 320 kW, significantly reducing charging times. Audi claims it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, adding approximately 174 miles of range in that timeframe.

In terms of performance and handling, Audi has refined the e-tron GT’s chassis with a redesigned standard air suspension and an available “active” suspension system that allows for individual control of each wheel. The addition of a four-wheel-steering system enhances agility, complemented by improvements in braking capabilities and regenerative braking efficiency.

While details initially focus on the European market, where the e-tron GT is already on sale, further information, including EPA range estimates and pricing for the U.S. market, is expected soon. The previous generation started at $107,995, with the RS variant beginning at $148,595, suggesting a competitive pricing strategy for the 2025 models.

The 2025 Audi e-tron GT lineup represents a comprehensive upgrade across design, performance, and technology aimed at elevating the electric sports sedan’s appeal and competitiveness in the luxury electric vehicle segment.
