To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the BMW X5, the company has introduced the 2025 BMW X5 Silver Anniversary edition. This limited-run vehicle marks the occasion with a unique silver-themed design, integrating elements from both the X5 Sport and M Sport packages.
The special edition features distinctive paint and exclusive badges to highlight its significance, embodying a blend of luxury and sportiness that pays homage to the X5’s legacy since its debut in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 1999.
Visually, the Silver Anniversary edition stands out with its exclusive Lime Rock Grey BMW Individual paint and a silver anniversary badge on the rear tailgate. While it is based on the X5 xDrive40i, the vehicle incorporates design elements from both the Sport and M Sport versions.
BMW chose to omit the more aggressive features of the M Sport package, such as its distinct bumpers and rocker panels but included the extended Shadowline trim to darken the roof rails and kidney grille. The vehicle also features 20-inch bi-color wheels from the M Sport, enhancing the silver motif.

The interior of the Silver Anniversary edition offers a variety of upholstery options in black, cognac, coffee, or grey, allowing for a personalized luxury experience.

Mechanically, the Silver Anniversary edition distinguishes itself with the xOffroad package, a feature not available on other BMW SUVs. This package includes air suspension on both axles, a mechanically locking rear differential, and underbody protection, enhancing the vehicle’s off-road capabilities.
Additionally, the special edition comes equipped with practical accessories such as a roof rack, luggage compartment mat, and all-weather floor mats, catering to adventurous drivers.
BMW plans to produce only about 1000 units of the Silver Anniversary edition, making it a highly exclusive model. Priced starting at $81,075, production is set to begin in August. This limited-run edition not only celebrates the X5’s milestone but also offers enthusiasts a unique blend of luxury, performance, and off-road capability, making it a fitting tribute to a quarter-century of the iconic SUV.
