Attention Porsche Taycan owners! If your electric vehicle was built in Germany between late 2019 and mid-2024, listen up.
Porsche Cars North America has announced a safety recall (codenamed ARB0) that applies to a specific group of Taycans, including a limited number of early 2025 models.
These vehicles, identifiable by a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) starting with “W”, may have an issue with their front brake hoses.
Under particular driving circumstances and steering movements, cracks could develop in the hoses, causing leaks and reduced braking performance, especially on the front wheels.
While the Volkswagen Group tackles potential shortcomings in their electric vehicles, Porsche takes a two-pronged approach.
They’re addressing a recently discovered issue in the Taycan while simultaneously showcasing the model’s impressive performance.
Owners can expect a recall notification within two months of filing with the NHTSA. Dealerships will be equipped to fix the problem by July 3rd with a redesigned part.
Meanwhile, Porsche maintains its dominance in the electric horsepower race with the Taycan Turbo GT. This limited-edition powerhouse boasts a staggering 1,093 horsepower, briefly surpassing even the mighty Rimac Nevera on the Nurburgring track.
